I have always had a love for crafting, but after my deployment it became an important part of my life. It began as a coping mechanism as I learned how to navigate through the emotional trials of PTSD. I taught myself to crochet and make jewelry, and the more I make the more I want to try. As a mother of five young children, I have had to learn to balance my crafting with my most important responsibilities. Health, Creativity and organization are my primary focus here. I look forward to sharing my journey through both with you.

I’m Jane. My husband and I have been married for 46 years and have 5 children 1 boy and 4 girls. We have 20 grandchildren, 11 boys and 9 girls. We now also have 2 great grandsons. As you can see family is very important to me.
As a child I would spend time with my grandmother and watch her piecing quilts by hand She taught me to crochet and to knit. My mother sewed my clothes for many years. She quilted until in her 80s when her sight started to fail. I learned to sew in high school. I love to sew, cross stitch, crochet and quilt. When my children were young I made a lot of their clothes. Sewing was my way to remain sane. I made Prom dresses, and have made all 4 of my daughters’ wedding gowns.
Recently I have begun crocheting and crafting again. I am enjoying growing my skills and knowledge by trying new stitches and techniques. I have also become interested in essential oils and how they can help with mood and our health.
I am excited to be taking a journey into all things craft related to create beautiful things for my family and yours.
